Quit-Itch Lotion is a broad spectrum antiseptic skin treatment for skin care of dogs, cats and horses.
Composition Povidone iodine 15 g/L, iodophor (equiv. 0.75% available iodine) 6 g/L. Description. Brown-black flowable liquid. Actions Broad spectrum antiseptic skin treatment for dogs, cats and horses. Indications Aids in the treatment of eczema, nonspecific dermatoses and fungal infections including ringworm. Treats lacerations, wire cuts, burns, abrasions and other superficial animal wounds. Aids in the treatment of Queensland itch, saddle acne, girth itch and greasy heel. Contraindications Use on kittens under 12 weeks old. Precautions Disposal. Dispose of empty container by wrapping with paper and putting in the garbage. Withholding Periods Meat. Nil. Directions for use Wounds. Dab the wound with cotton wool or gauze soaked in undiluted Quit-Itch. Repeat daily for three to four days. Skin diseases. Clean affected area with one part Quit-Itch to 20 parts of warm water, towel dry and apply undiluted Quit-Itch liberally to the affected areas. Repeat daily for three to four days. Fungal ringworm and eczema. Use a solution of one part Quit-Itch to 20 parts warm water. Thoroughly wash the animal and allow the foam to remain for five minutes. Rinse, dry and apply undiluted Quit-Itch to infected and surrounding areas. Greasy heel. Remove scabs from the infected heels. Use a solution of one part Quit-Itch to 20 parts warm water, rub vigorously to soften and remove scabs. Thoroughly dry, and rub undiluted Quit-Itch into affected areas twice daily until heels are completely clear of infection.
